Hot Spicy Cider
2 quarts pasteurized apple cider or apple juice
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
Heat cider, but do not boil. Add spices (more or less according to your
taste). Stir and serve. Serves 8-10 (6-8 oz cups).
Easy Applesauce
6 tart apples
1-1/4 cups water
3-4 tablespoons sugar
Cinnamon
Wash, peel, core, and slice the apples. Your child can put them into
a pan and add water. Cover and simmer until the apples are tender
- about 20-30 minutes. Add sugar and cinnamon to taste. Makes 12 small
servings.
