NATURE RELATED

  • Children, Nature and You - To meet the growing demand for the inspiration and information offered in Children, Nature and You workshops, they have created a new Web site. Program director Diane Gordon says, "We designed this Web site to offer you the knowledge, tools, motivation, and passion that will enable you to give the children you influence the awe and wonder that only the natural world can inspire." The site has free materials, resources, and curricula to help you connect children to nature.
  • Bird Identification Channel - E-Nature shares: “Birds in the wild don't often look like their pictures in the guide book—at least not when you want them to! Take a look at our bird identification videos to see what your favorite bird looks like in real life.”
  • Monarch Watch - Keep track of monarch butterflies on their winter and spring migrations at Monarch Watch. The latest feature is the official Monarch Watch BLOG where you can find frequent updates of what's going on at Monarch Watch and with monarchs in general.
  • Nature Action Collaborative for Children - Children in today's world are being adversely affected by their diminishing connection with the natural world. To address this concern, the World Forum Foundation supported the development of the Nature Action Collaborative for Children (NACC) and organized the 2006 Working Forum and the 2008 Working Forum on Nature Education for Young Children at the Arbor Day Farm in Nebraska.
