Observation: Preparing to Observe

Introduction:

This unit is about discovering what is needed to prepare to observe. Observation is a tool to help us learn about each child, our environment, and our work in caring for children. Just as planning a good trip takes lots of preparation, so does preparing to observe. This lesson outlines the preparations needed before we can use observation as a tool in working with young children.
